KUGO Ikuhiro −久後育大−
progress of the time until completion can be predicted and imaged from the
things which crowd and accumulate regularly.
Also, the incorporation of innumerable information can be read into the accumulated progress.
For instance, stratums with layers of rock flakes, volcanic ashes and corpse which repeat upheaval and subsidence in a long time as well as the annual rings of trees that seam their process of growth show us that information.
Or even an integrated circuit with lined transistors, which seems mechanical, also allows us to read similar information into it.
I color papers and draw innumerable lines on them so my works always have a matter of discoloration and metamerism.
Also, I use other things related to my works to make hidden information visible, for example, lightning and the space where they are displayed and the pigments that change or deteriorate through the march of time.
Moreover, I would like to express phenomena and fantasies by putting the scars of time passage into the works as well as stratums and integrated circuits when I draw lines.
